Babcock International Group PLC is a leading support services company. Their £1.2Bn market capitalisation ranks them amongst the top 200 quoted companies in the UK.
Their customer base is largely composed of government departments and organisations whose activities are heavily regulated by government. Babcock employs more than 17,000 people.
Babcock Marine (Appledore Shipbuilders) is renowned for its ability to produce quality ships on time. Appledore's excellent design and manufacturing facility is due in no small part to the high capital investment made to ensure that the company has remained at the forefront of technology. This, coupled with the experience and skill of its workforce, has enabled the company to design and build ships compatible with market requirements. These have included in recent years dredgers, liquid gas carriers, product carriers, bulk carriers, naval fishing protection vessels, naval survey vessels and passenger/vehicle ferries.
In February 2009 TCI were awarded a £150,000 turn key package to transform and bring the companies open planned drawing office into the 21st century.

Working closely with the client throughout the planning stage was key to fully understanding the client's requirements. This and the ability to change the course of the project at a moments notice, ensured that the project caused minimum disruption to the Babcock staff members who carried on with their daily tasks whilst TCI worked around them.
The project came in on time and budget, leading to the client placing a further six orders with TCI. To date we have now regenerated a further six offices and two canteens and are confidant that the strong relationship built between us and Babcock will grow ever stronger in the forth coming months.

"Babcock Marine Appledore, initially contracted Town and County Office Interiors to undertake a total refurbishment of the yards technical drawing office within the Babcock Marine Appledore site. This contract was delivered on time and to budget, and to a very high build standard.
Further to the technical office, TCI have also completed the refurbishment of various production offices, all again undertaken to a very high standard of outfit. We have also recently awarded a further contract to TCI for the total refurbishment of a new training centre due for completion end 2009.
All of the above contracts were undertaken by TCI as complete 'turn key' projects, from the concept design through to the installation of the office furniture.
